Began in '88.
Started when I was working with Kelly Snow in a 4th grade class room, she
talked me into it. I fell in love with it right away.
I love that there are so many things to learn in Martial arts, the physical the
mental and emotional. Love the forms the work out they give me and
how it helps my posture. It keeps my mind occupied while I am working out harder
than I might without it. For teaching, I love working with kids
and making a difference in them and to let them know they are special. I just love to communicate to others, things I have learned that have helped
me grow.

3rd Dan
Teaching title - Kyo Sa Nim (certified instructor)
Married with 2 beautiful children
Have been practicing martial arts since I was 16. Started with
Master Bogdanski in 1996. I have been an instructor for 8 years.
Currently hold a Brown Belt in Okinawan Goju Ryu, Blue belt in Machado
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and a third Dan under Master Bogdanski. I am also a
certified FAST Bulletman and Instructor.
I love working with
adults and children both in and out of class. Outside of karate, I am
an Operations Resource for Frito Lay. Here my passion to train
continues as a Continuous Improvement Master Trainer.
With all
of this, there are times when I am away from my family or otherwise
occupied. This is only possible due to the continued support of my best
friend, my wife Jennifer.

"I
started after my first son Earl began classes in 1992 and thought
it would be fun. Now after 15 years and a lot of very fond
memories, meeting and making new friends for life all around the world. I feel being able to teach new students the things that I
have learned over the years is the best part of my karate experience.
Seeing the look on a students face when a self defense works for the
first time and the feeling they have knowing they can do it for
themselves, is the biggest reward.
I feel getting my Third Dan from Master Bogdanski (and Third Dan rank
from Grandmaster Harnos of Australia) and being able to have them as
friends is a big part of who I am as a karate person. My second son
Lee is an apprentice black belt now, and that will make three black
belts in the family, and that is something any parent can be proud of.
I don't think I would have stayed in it as long if it wasn't for the
support of my wife and the understanding she has for me to do this
sport.

I have been studying martial arts with Master Bogdanski
and Master Duethorn since July of 1999. It has been an honor and
pleasure to work with such outstanding individuals. They are both
gifted teachers and extraordinary people.
I brought my young daughter in for some self-defense instruction in
1999, not meaning to take classes myself--and I've been here ever since!
I enjoy spending time with my wife, Susan, and my children, Bonnie Rose
and Nicholas. I teach English at Manchester Community College, a job I
love.

Brian Zurowski
2nd Dan
Brian lives in Plainfield (since 2003, in the house he
built himself), with his wife, Tammy, and 2 sons Sam and Tyler. He works
as an industrial mechanic at Frito-Lay (21 yrs now). He started
training under Master Bogdanski in 1994, same year he got married.
He earned instructor of the year in 1998, and is currently a 2nd Dan. He spends most of his spare time as a sports
coach for his sons' football and baseball teams. He enjoys taking
karate classes and teaching, but wishes there was more time to do all of
the things he enjoys.
